Olumide and Kayode Taiwo (better known as Olu and Kay) are twin brothers. Born in New York, they grew up in Nigeria.

They both graduated with honours from St. John's University in Queens, New York, with degrees in Pharmacy. They were inducted into the prestigious Golden Key National Honour Society in 1994 for academic excellence.
